Now that you’ve been working on building poetry clubs or teams for a while, it’s time to start thinking about the next step: prepping a team for the CYHMN? competition.

One essential step will be to complete and submit the Intent to Compete form. Completing this form will help us to establish the number of teams that will be competing in the poetry SLAM so that we can start planning events.

The original deadline for the Intent to Compete form was the end of November, but after feedback from a number of different schools who are working to build teams, that deadline is being extended to January 20.

So keep building your teams, and if you need a little extra time to get organized, take it.

But as soon as you’re sure your school will be entering a team, please fill out the Intent to Compete form to let us know. You don’t have to wait until the deadline. 🙂
